The Merit list is created according to the scores earned in the Secondary School Examination for 10th grade. The merit list will be published individually for all 23 circles at https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/.

The Merit list is created using the marks earned or the conversion of Grades/Points to marks in the 10th standard Secondary School Examination from recognized Boards, totaled to a percentage with four decimal places of accuracy. It is essential to pass all subjects according to the respective approved board standards.
For applicants whose Secondary School Examination 10th standard mark sheet displays marks or both marks and Grade/Points, only the total marks will be calculated considering the marks earned in all mandatory and elective/optional subjects (excluding any additional subjects, if present). This will guarantee that candidates with better scores are chosen.
For candidates possessing only subject-wise grades, scores will be provided for each subject (including compulsory and elective subjects, but excluding extra subjects) by applying a multiplying factor of 9.5 in the following way.
