Age Limit
Educational Requirement.
North Eastern Railway Recruitment Age Limit:
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and no older than 33 at the time of registration in order to be eligible to apply for the North Eastern Railway exam. In addition, age restrictions apply to candidates based on their categories –
- 18 to 30 years for Level-2 (Group “C”) posts.
- 18 to 33 years for Level-1 (formerly Group “D”) posts.
Age will be calculated as of January 1, 2025. The upper age limit might be lowered as long as the necessary certificates are submitted.
North Eastern Railway Education Qualification :
- For level-2 (Group ‘C’) posts: For technician-III:- Matriculation (10th Pass) or its equivalent with ITI in relevant trade (Recognised by SCVT/NCVT)
- For other posts:- 12th pass or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate. The compulsion of 50% marks
- For level-1 (Erstwhile Group ‘D’) posts: For Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical and Signal & Telecom department:- 10th pass plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT or 10th pass plus ITI. For other department:- Matriculation (10th pass) or ITI or its equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
